There are 3 major New Years in Thailand...

1 - January 1 (Wan Khuen Pee Mai, New Year's Day in the Western (Gregorian) calendar) is the official New Year in Thailand. It is a little like Christmas is for Westerners, because many Thais give their loved ones gifts.

3 - Traditional Thai New Year (Songkran) still starts on 13 April and is celebrated by a 3-Day public holiday period and the Songkran (water) Festival. For more information, see our useful Calendar page.
NOTE: The Songkran Festival in Pattaya is always 18-19 April, a few days later than in some areas of Thailand, and the water throwing can last up to 4-5 days. We cannot deliver Orders during the 4-5 day Pattaya Songkran water throwing period because Flowers and Gifts will probably get damaged during delivery. This is one reason we close our shop for this time. Please create Thai New Year Orders before about 10 April and ask us to deliver it before 13 April.
